OSPIE Launches 2026-27 UK Core Assessment Liaison Pilot Program
The Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OSPIE) officially launched the 2026-27 UK Core Assessment Liaison Pilot Program with a breakfast workshop held on August 17 in the Gatton Student Center. The initiative brings together faculty representatives from colleges across the University of Kentucky to strengthen communication, collaboration, and support for UK Core assessment efforts.
During the workshop, participants received an overview of the UK Core curriculum, assessment cycle, mapping and reporting processes, upcoming assessment initiatives, and liaison expectations. Faculty also engaged in discussions about the current state of UK Core assessment and ways to support assessment efforts within their respective colleges.
The liaison program reflects OSPIE's commitment to partnering with faculty across disciplines to ensure that assessment serves as a meaningful tool for improving student learning rather than simply a compliance exercise. By fostering communication and collaboration across colleges, the program will help disseminate assessment knowledge, increase faculty engagement, and strengthen UK Core assessment practices across campus.
