Student Achievement
Current student achievement measures have been defined and monitored primarily through the 2015-2020 UK Strategic Plan.
In developing the Strategic Plan, the University engaged in an extensive planning process that included the views and perspectives of multiple stakeholder groups, notably faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The resulting Plan contains five objectives, three of which articulate measures of student achievement. The student achievement measures were identified and selected based upon their alignment with the University’s mission as well as the priorities set forth in the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education’s Strategic Agenda.
Undergraduate Student Success
Post-Graduate Success
The University of Kentucky follows up on its former students by administering undergraduate and graduate alumni surveys in odd-numbered years. Surveys are sent to students who graduated two years earlier. Items on both surveys ask students to report their educational plans, employment status (i.e. full-time, part-time, unemployed, etc.), and the extent to which the position they hold is related to the major they pursued while at the University. Survey results are analyzed by college and used to support the program review process.
